Oak Meadow High School for Computer Technology welcomes opportunities to partner with high schools or school districts seeking ways to create or expand their Information Technology curriculum. We can help tailor our Computer Based Training materials to meet the requirements of your student and fit into your academic schedule. Interested administrators or instructors should contact the Oak Meadow office by phone or email.
Some of the ways partnering with Oak Meadow High School for Computer Technology program can help your school or district.
- We can help you enrich the entire academic environment. Most students already use computers to write papers, but can they keep their files organized, create attractive PowerPoint presentations for History class, and employ spreadsheets to accurately record and analyze data for Biology class? Our program can help students at all levels of computer fluency improve their skills and expand their knowledge.
- We can help you raise the level of faculty computing expertise. Your faculty may enroll for our courses and receive instruction not only in a particular topic, but also in effective ways of teaching that topic to their students. We welcome the opportunity to train your trainers and, in the process, help you create effective learning environments for your students.
- We can help you expand your IT curriculum without blowing your budget. Our curriculum is available on a per student or site license basis, providing a scalable cost structure that matches student demand for each course. You pay for what you use, without having to hire additional faculty or staff or purchase more materials than you need. A student's educational opportunities are no longer limited by class size (too small or too large) and faculty qualifications
- We can help you help students graduate and gain computer skills they can use. Interested parents and students in your school or district are probably already pursuing additional computer training opportunities. High school students who enroll in these programs commit time, energy, and money to courses that do not further their progress towards graduation. Since Oak Meadow is an accredited distance education school your students can make progress towards graduation while preparing themselves for what happens after they have their diploma.
- We can help you empower students to pursue jobs and careers in Information Technology. While all of our courses teach valuable skills for succeeding in college or the job market, many are also designed to prepare students for industry certification examinations. Whether or not students who successfully complete these courses elect to take certification exams, they will certainly have the knowledge and skills necessary to begin pursuing entry level positions and/or post-secondary training in the IT industry.
